Hello, I'm Emile Sodyte, the author of Moonlit Awakening, my debut novel, published on the 31st of May 2025.

By day, I work as a marketing consultant - developing strategies, building campaigns, and helping brands find their voice in a competitive digital landscape. I’ve spent years learning how to communicate through story, how to create emotional connection, and how to bring ideas to life in a structured way. But when evening falls and the house finally grows quiet, another world opens up. That is when I close the work laptop, switch off the professional mindset, and dive into the world of my characters.

I am also a mother of two very young children, and motherhood has shaped not only my life but also the way I create. My days are defined by sticky fingers, giggles, nap schedules, toys underfoot, surprise tantrums, and small perfect moments that make everything worthwhile.

 

I’ve learned to write in the in-between spaces - half an hour here, twenty minutes there, or late at night with a cup of tea while everyone sleeps. It’s never as calm or uninterrupted as you’d picture the life of a writer, but it’s real, it’s mine, and it has taught me persistence like nothing else.

I started writing my first book during my first pregnancy. I wanted a creative project that was entirely my own, something that could grow and pause with the rhythm of new motherhood. So I wrote in small pockets of time - in the car while a baby slept, during maternity leave, on quiet afternoons, and through the haze of night feedings.

 

When I became pregnant with my second child, I didn’t stop. The story kept growing with me. After about two years of steady, patient writing, Moonlit Awakening was finally complete - and holding the finished book in my hands was a moment I will never forget.

Writing has always been my sanctuary. As a child, I devoured fantasy, falling in love with magic, epic worlds, and emotional stories that stayed with me long after the last page. Later, I discovered dark fantasy romance - intense, passionate, high-stakes stories - and I knew I wanted to write books that made readers feel that same pull.

 

The kinds of stories that keep you reading far later than you meant to and that make your heart pound and your chest ache in the best way.

Moonlit Awakening is a dark fantasy romance filled with werewolves, witchcraft, forbidden loyalty, hidden truths, and the fierce power of fated love. It explores identity, strength, and the courage to rise even when the world expects you to break. Writing it taught me resilience, creative discipline, and how to keep moving forward even when progress is slow and life is demanding.

Today, I balance two worlds: the structured, strategic world of marketing and the wild, moonlit world of storytelling.

 

I am still learning, still improving, and still chasing the ideas that come to me at 2 a.m. when I should be sleeping.

​

But above all, the greatest world I belong to is my family - my husband, my two boys, and our loyal dog. They are the heartbeat behind every page, the reason I believe in dreams, and the reason I keep writing long after the house goes quiet.

​

Not long ago, I also began illustrating - something I never expected to fall in love with as much as I did. From character art to fantasy-inspired scenes, I’ve discovered a whole new way to bring stories to life visually.
